Lakhbir's new show 'After the Flood' is part of Hebden Bridge Arts Festival 2013. It is a site specific group show in the extensive cellars of her home, which were fully flooded during the cloudburst rains of July 2012. The cellars were used to store some of her most iconic work, some of which didn't survive, but some pieces were changed by the water and silt. She also presents new work about the floods which comment on the experience and some pieces that are full of the sense of renewal and moving along. She has included and curated the work of several other artists whose works complement and draw on themes present in her own.
